Craftsmanship Builds Dreams, Skills Secure the Future

Tianjin Haideshi’s First Employee Labor Skills Competition

Preface

On December 3, Tianjin Haideshi grandly held its inaugural Employee Labor Skills Competition, themed “Craftsmanship Builds Dreams, Skill Wins the Future.” This competition deeply embodies Haideshi Group’s annual guiding principle of “Breaking Free from Old Mindsets, Renewing Organizations, Reshaping Value, and Reimagining Growth,” and seamlessly integrates the talent development philosophy of “Three Highs and Four Innovations” into corporate practice. It systematically enhances employees’ skill levels, promotes the spirit of craftsmanship, and fosters team collaboration, aiming to create a positive atmosphere of “competition, learning, emulation, assistance, and surpassing.” By making the spirit of craftsmanship visible, tangible, and teachable, this initiative injects a solid quality core into the company’s high-quality development.

Immediately afterward, Deputy General Manager Lai Maoxia delivered the opening speech for the competition. She pointed out: “Quality is the lifeline; efficiency is our competitiveness.” She also emphasized that the competition’s format is deeply integrated with the principles of quality, efficiency, and lean manufacturing. This competition is not merely a skills contest—it is also a vivid demonstration and powerful promotion of the corporate culture centered on “continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence.” She encouraged all participants to learn and hone their skills through the competition, putting the lean philosophy into practice in the competitive environment, showcasing their high-level expertise and team spirit, and fully demonstrating the exceptional skills and strong teamwork of Haide people.

After the speech concluded, under the enthusiastic anticipation of all attendees, Deputy General Manager Lai Maoxia officially announced the start of the competition.

The Spectacle of the Event: Learning Through Fun, Honing Genuine Skills

This competition is divided into two major categories: team competition and individual competition. Both categories are closely centered on practical production, quality management, and skills enhancement. They ingeniously transform rigorous production processes into engaging competitions, achieving a deep integration of "learning through play."

Team Competition: Ingenious Manufacturing · Extreme Assembly

Each team collaborates to build a logistics delivery vehicle that is both load-bearing and mobile. This not only tests the team’s ability to collaborate on design and assembly, but also serves as a simulated practice of production management processes—from reading blueprints and preparing materials to assembling and verifying the final product. Every step requires precise coordination, embodying the management philosophy of “getting it right the first time.”

Individual Competition: Sharp Eyes & Speed Challenge

The competition design places particular emphasis on hands-on training in quality control and the handling of defective products. Contestants are required to identify defective areas by comparing them against standard samples within a specified time frame and accurately complete defect notification forms, thereby simulating the rapid feedback process for on-site quality issues. Subsequently, contestants must assemble components, with the criteria for advancing being “the shortest possible completion time and adherence to standardized procedures.” The entire process realistically replicates the complete quality closed-loop—“detect—record—handle—assemble”—found on a production line, enabling participants to deeply appreciate the importance of quality management amid intense competition.

After fierce competition, the contest ultimately awarded first-, second-, and third-place prizes in both the team and individual events, and also presented the Outstanding Organizing Team Award.

This skills competition is not merely a contest of craftsmanship—it’s also a vivid, hands-on learning experience. Through engaging, scenario-based competitive designs, professional concepts such as “handling defective products,” “standardizing work procedures,” and “collaborative production” are deeply embedded in the minds of participants, truly achieving the goal of “learning through competition and applying what’s learned through practice.” Using the competition as a platform, Tianjin Haideshi is bringing the culture of “craftsmanship” to life and helping it take root. This effort is forging a high-quality talent pool for the company’s sustained development—a team that values quality, masters advanced skills, and excels at collaboration—thus firmly setting the stage for a new journey toward “winning the future through technology.”
